TW: Doctors and fatphobia. This is not a cheerful post.

Sooo, I need a birth control refil and I have an appointment for next Monday. I really really hate going to family planning/hospitals in general.

I don’t have any health problem and they are well aware of this, but I’m fat. Having to…

tl;dr: Doctors keep doing their job whenever I visit them at their job. I don’t need to change, they just need to diagnose me with what’s most convenient.

feministfatty:

if you don’t believe this is fatphobia, then you are a piece of shit. Read those comments. Fucking read them.

This is the bullshit that fat people face every day.

"What a pretty face, if you would only lose some weight."

"She was so fat she probably got stuck in the door frame."

Fuck you ass holes, this is a 14 year old fucking girl.

She is not deserving of any of this. Even if her mother is making false claims, feel sorry for that girl who has to go through this shit at the mercy of some one who is there to protect her and care for her.

If this did happen, what an unacceptable action for that employee. What an unacceptable attitude towards fat people.

Whoa, hold the phone here, you’re telling me that someone on the internet found something mean to say about someone else?

Do you really think someone would just go out and do that? Say mean things on the internet?

I’m curious how many of those commenters are women fatter than depicted on the left.

i’m supposed to be writing a couple of paragraphs for the discussion board due today in english and i don’t have my fucking topic. i’m supposed to propose a solution to a problem in my school or community, but narrowing that down is difficult. people are picking topics like “childhood cancer” and i’m thinking are you for fucking real? that’s the best you could come up with? irradiated kids is the most pressing issue you could muster? my community is full of racism, homophobia, police with serious god complexes, and abundant homelessness, but, hey, childhood cancer seems like a tip-top problem, i’m sure.

i hate college. i hate college with a passion. i love learning, but i hate college. i hate the people who go to my college because they seem to have their heads so far up their asses that they can’t see beyond their privileged little fucking lives.

I fucking love clarification.

Pretty sure all these girls are probably wonderful and could easily please a man.

And I’m sure all the food depicted is edible and delicious… if you’re starving.
But which one is most ideal?

so i’m on the f21+ american site, looking at swimwear (idkw…), and i see this one review

I wish this was available for not just Forever 21+. It’s a cute swim piece and I would have loved if it was in medium/ large.

like… you have the WHOLE. FUCKING. STORE.

leave the…

Why so much anger though? I’m sure she didn’t say it out of malice, she probably just liked the cut an would’ve appreciated it in a smaller size. I’ve expressed similar shit walking through the f21+ section, because the reality of it is, the stuff there just looks like whoever designed it just put a lot more thought and effort into it vs. the rest of the store. With that said, if you wear plus size, I don’t understand why you wouldn’t be MORE understanding seeing as how there are probably very many instances where you can’t find shit you’d like to wear in your size. She wasn’t telling you to forfeit it, she just said she wished they’d make it in regular sizes as well. Tf.

i will not listen to this.

not on this friday

not when you get to have 70% of ONE store all for straight-sizes

not when you can go to a mall and walk out with a handful of purchases from any given store

not when i, sitting here in canada, cannot even BUY A BATHING SUIT from f21+ because THEY DO NOT CARRY THEM

not when in reality, if she would just shut all the way the hell up and went to ANOTHER STORE, she could find 5 different bathing suits that are all similar to that one, and probably cost half the price.

as a plus size person that can’t quite fit most plus-size things because my hips are bigger than my waist so i have to take everything in, or my bust is too big for the shirt so i have to go up a size and have it fit there but not anywhere else, i don’t want to here the cries of the average-sized/straight-sized shopper who does not want to put in the effort to get what she wants…

no. if i have to work just as hard to look fly and fashionable, why shouldn’t you?

your argument is standing on one leg, while mine is on four… this is something we say over and over and over again… YOU HAVE (AFFORDABLE) OPTIONS THAT ARE NOT ONLY CUTE, BUT COME IN YOUR SIZE, AND ARE PLENTIFUL

we do not… we have to go to specialty shops. why? why can’t all stores just carry the same thing in sizes larger than an XL? do you know that many stores go from xxs to l? and their large is BARELY large.

if the stuff they designed for the straight sizes is crap, then why shop there? why not speak up and make a change? no, don’t tell them to make their cute plus-size stuff in regular sizes— that’s what WE’VE been doing for decades… you don’t get to take that back from us. we’ve been fighting long and hard for cute clothes… not our fault your regular-sized designers are getting lazy/are not as creative as the plus-size designers.

TL;DR

NO. YOU DO NOT GET TO COMPLAIN WHEN YOU ALREADY HAVE. DO NOT LOOK AT YOUR NEIGHBOUR’S PLATE AND WONDER WHY THEIR PORTION HAS MORE THAN YOURS THEN THROW A HISSY-FIT WHEN YOU CAN’T HAVE IT.

good day.

Wasn’t she speaking up by leaving a comment on the store’s site?

I believe oversized portions is what got you into this first world crisis to begin with.
